West Side Of The Crazy Mtns

Welcome to the Clyde Park, Montana Picture Tour

Located in the Shields Valley between the Crazy Mountains to the east and the Bridger Range to the west, it’s no wonder this area has been attracting people for centuries. The area it littered with Indian encampments and hunting kill sites. In in the 1870’s, a town was established by Texas cattlemen attracted to the area’s lush grasslands.  The influx of people was helped along in 1909, when the Northern Pacific Railway established a branch line to the town from Livingston, Montana.  The little town has always been a popular destination for people who want the “feel” of Montana but need to be close to an airport.  A good example is the G Bar M Ranch, a 3,200-acre dude ranch that opened 1934.

The Clyde Park, Montana Picture Tour is a direct result of the MontanaPictures.Net Request program that we have been doing since 2004.  People send a request to see pictures and video of their Montana Hometown. We place the request on a webpage and make every effort to photograph the requested town the next time we are in the area.  We gladly take requests because you get to see beautiful eye level images of  “home” and we learn more fascinating information about Montana.
