60107 On the north end of town you'll find this old "fire lookout tower." The tower is only 2.5 meters tall.

It was used primarily to spot very small forest fires.   :o)

The Bass brothers crossed the plains from Missouri by mule team in 1864.   Click here to read the Montana Historical Society sign.

Hiker friendly Bass Creek was named after the brothers.
