61412   Located at the head of Flathead Lake this former Lumber town is always a treat to visit.
The Great Northern Railroad built a spur line from Kalispell to the sawmill in Somers, Montana in 1900.
At one point, the Somers Lumber Company owned the townsite, 122 houses, a company store, the water and electric
utilities and the O'Brian mansion.   In 1948, the Great Northern sold the sawmill and townsite to a Seattle salvage dealer.
