      40308 This panorama of the "Range Riders Lodge" is a little dark but we wanted to show you the mountains.
      Can you see the dead trees above the lodge?  That is the remains of the "Storm Creek Fire" of August 20, 1988.
      The fire forced the evacuation of the area on September 6, 1988.

      Most of the businesses are closed for the season.   They still look good in the snow...
      Look to the south side of the road.           "There's the Log Cabin Cafe."         The "Sun Dog Trading Company."
            Who says you can't find "color" in the winter time.         There's a pretty cabin.
                    Look how deep the snow is!         The skiing must be incredible around here.
                             If we drive up the road we'll see the Mt. Republic Chapel of Peace.
