73008 Look what is growing in the wheat fields west of Shelby!

Four-hundred-foot "Wind Turbines," hundreds of 'em.  (140 towers to be exact.)

You can see this same view outside Judith Gap, Montana, the home of a new 135 megawatt wind farm.

If you look at the panorama of Shelby on the first page of the tour you can see "Wind Turbines" behind the The Crossroads Correctional Center.

Farther west of Shelby,  (thirteen miles) you'll find this growing wind farm north of the small town of Ethridge, Montana.

We didn't drive too close to the tower construction because we didn't want to be responsible for delaying construction for even one second.

The energy of the first phase of the new wind farm will go to San Diego, CA.  (71 Turbines generating 106.5 megawatts of electricity.)

The energy of the second phase of the new wind farm will go to Calgary, Alberta. (69 Turbines generating 103.5 megawatts of electricity.)

On top of all the new additions, there is a strong agricultural base to help Shelby to continue to prosper.
