The Judith Gap Wind Farm was dedicated, on October 7, 2005. Electrical power production started in late November 2005.
The turbines start spinning when the wind gets above about 6 miles per hour, and power production begins at 7.8 mph
The
turbines run at maximum capacity at 33.5 mph. In high winds of 56 mph or more the turbines shut down to protect the turbine.
Let's watch the morning sun light reflect off the 400 foot wind towers.

Visitors need to check in at the office for permission to enter the "Wind Farm."
The morning light just changed - take a look.
A couple minutes later they looked like this.
