With all the different kinds of fence
posts in Montana, |
it was only a matter of time before
people started to "decorate" their fence posts. |
This doesn't count as "decoration." The
bird house actually is providing valuable habitat for Bluebirds near Canyon
Ferry lake. |
Here is a classic fence post
"decoration." |
In
Rosebud, Montana you can see another version. |

The orange florescent paint on the top
of a fence post near a gate isn't decoration either. |
The orange paint means: "No
Tresspassing, No fooling!" |
Since the 1970's,
Montana landowners can designate their land as "off limits" |
by spraying fifty square inches of
orange florescent paint near the top of their fence posts. |

outside of Big Sandy,
Montana we see the orange paint. |

Wait a minute... |
What's that "figure" to the left of the
orange fence post? |
Let's take a close look... |
What you see is the artwork of
Cory Holmes of Havre, Montana. |
North of Havre you'll see this.
(It's called "Vast Delight") |
On the following pages we'll show you a sample of his work located |
between
Hobson,
Utica and Windham, Montana. |
