We had a request that really sparked our curiosity. The person wanted to see pictures of the Helena "barn"
that the artist Charlie M. Russell once "bunked" in. The request said the "barn" was on Helena's Sixth Avenue.
We're standing on Sixth, looking north down Ewing street. We don't see a "barn," Do you?
On the left is one of the early Montana governor mansions. Let's walk east (picture right) towards Rodney Street and keep looking for the "barn."

Now we're on Rodney and still no "barn." Wait a minute, we walked by a Montana Historical Society sign.
Can you see it, on the left side of the brick building?

Well, what do you know... We only pass this location about a hundred time in the course of a year.
It took a request all the way from Iowa, to get us to actually
see
the building. Thank you!
As long as we are exploring our "backyard." How did that street west of here get the name "Rodney?"
Tighten your shoe laces, we're walking three blocks north to
Rodney Street
.
