30605 Continue east on Highway 2 and you'll see the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Monument. A sixty foot stone obelisk constructed in 1931.

The memorial honors "T.R's" policies on forest conservation and the construction of the "Theodore Roosevelt International Highway"

connecting Portland, Oregon and Portland, Maine: today's US Highway 2.

Next (picture right) to the stone obelisk is the "John Frank Stevens Memorial Statue."
