62907 There is all kinds of formations to see up here above the road
Look at the swirling layers of sandstone in this rock.
After a short walk among four sandstones formations like this one we yelled - Bingo!
62907 You really appreciate the large expanse of red stained sandstone found at  Medicine Rocks State Park.
Out here you find the red stain patches but they are relatively small and rare.   We're not complaining, this is great.
