62907 This
sight made us smile... Here is the
"flip-side" of the old gas
station sign. |
|
They recycled a
"Standard Oil" gas station sign from the 1950's - Way to Go! |

62907 We'll
cross Box Elder Creek. This time of year, you might have to roll up
your pant legs so they don't get wet - there's no bridge. |

62907 This is
really exciting, we get to search for traces of the Native American and
early settlers in a huge space open to the public. |
|
We were
always envious of the ranch & wheat farming kids we met in school.
They grew up outside
Chester,
Hardin, |
|
Lewistown, or
Plentywood, Montana. For them, to find an intact
"teepee ring" or Native American paintings was "routine" |
|
like
picking up the Sunday paper on the way home from church. |
|
All our former
exploration sites of the 1970's in western Montana are now on "private
land." To be able to explore "open land" is a real treat. |
