      121906 The entry sign to downtown Anaconda.  In the background you can see the 585 foot tall Smelter smokestack built in 1919.
      The smokestack is the tallest free-standing masonry structure in the world.    "The Stack" was declared a state monument by the 1985 Montana Legislature.

      Now called the "Copper Village Museum & Arts Center"
      Renovated in 1982, the hall now houses a history museum, archives and art gallery with changing exhibits and shops.
